Most have my signature air lock lid design. (top and bottom are fitted together)
Generally i use one piece of wood for the body allowing me to wrap the grain around the box.
All solid hardwood, no veneers etc..including the pieces used for the lids they are instrument quality. and cost approx 25-40 each just for the lid material alone.
I hand sand these masterpieces for many hours to achieve the smooth finishes, they are not lacquered, simply oiled,waxed and hand buffed.
Only the natural woods colours, no stains are used.
I use some exotic woods, Ipe, Jatoba, Sapele, and also Canadian / American hard woods, maple, birch. black walnut etc.
Every box is different, i make several sizes for jewelry, watches, stashing your stuff, keepsakes, urn for your favorite pet, office desk, cigar humidors, 420 cannabis etc..
Each one is Individually priced.
Keep in mind i put many hours in each piece (30+hrs) they are not rushed out, very high quality precision woodwork.
